I'm Crystal Kroetch, and I am the head trainer and CEO of Carousel Stables Calgary. I had this space created, so that you could learn about me and our barn.

 

I love horses, and I love coaching people and training horses. It's what I have done my entire life. I was born into a herd of these amazing animals because my father was a cutting horse trainer, and I learned that there isn't anything that I would rather do than to live a career with and for horses.

Over the many decades that I have been riding, I have learned a lot about them, myself, and life in general. I love many of the breeds, and I am enthusiastic and interested in the various activities of my fellow horseman. I am a dressage rider, coach and trainer. I can say that after training several Grand Prix horses, and being a medal winning rider with the Canadian Dressage Team, that I continue to learn daily.

The approach that I took at the start of my dressage career, and the approach that I teach now are at different ends of the training spectrum. 

 

The education I received while moving from one end of the spectrum to the other is the inspiration for my ConneXion Program. The methods in this program can only be known and taught by someone who has an extensive history with horses , understands their innate behavior, anatomy, and bio-mechanics - combined with knowledge and experience in the modern-day competition arena.
